# Image creation and style

Generate images with the photography guide, then optionally add effects with the image creator.

## 1. Generate an image

Give /photography.md to your image generation tool for guidance on subjects, composition, lighting, and style.

- Download the original guide at /downloads/photography.md.
- Follow the photography guide for image palettes; the brand palette remains the source for typography and layout surfaces.

## 2. Add effects (optional)

For special effects, open /imagery to upload your generated image, apply a look, and adjust texture, color, distortion, or motion. This step is optional.

- Approved looks: Speckle, Colour Paint, Simple Paint, Noise Streak, Noise Wave, and Noise Textured.
- Export JPG or PNG images, recorded motion, look JSON, a standalone demo, or a web kit with the original runtime.
- For web use, start with /tools/image-creator/hedra-diffusion.js and the original JSON presets in /tools/image-creator/looks/. Use the editor’s web exports to package a chosen look and image.
- Personal looks, examples, and photos are saved locally in the visitor’s browser.
